Mary "June" Kier

Funeral services for Mary “June” Kier, age 85 of County Route 31 Lisbon, will be held Wednesday (January 4, 2012) at 6:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral from 4:00-6:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring at White Church Cemetery in Lisbon.

Mrs. Kier passed away Thursday (December 29, 2011) at the United Helpers Riverledge Care Facility in Ogdensburg surrounded by her family.

Surviving are her children Thomas Kier of Miami, FL; Danielle Armstrong & her husband Todd of Lisbon, Katherine Lyons of Prior, OK; 7 grandchildren Kameron, Aaron, Alaina & Maddison Armstrong, Johnathan Thomas Houston Lyons, Tyler Heath Kier & his wife Priscilla and Traci VanLeeuwen; great-grandchildren Ella, Taylor & Preston; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins. Four brothers Thomas, Bill, Frank & Francis “Munk” Wigley predeceased her.

June was born on April 25, 1926 in Waurika, OK a daughter of the late Lucious & Emma (Jones) Wigley. She graduated from Waurika High School and married Thomas E. Kier on January 15, 1950. He predeceased her in 2005. June was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Memorial contributions have been requested to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
