

Mary M. Peccolo, age 83, of Ogdensburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Mary’s life was marked by kindness, faith, and a deep commitment to her community.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Ogdensburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home also on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Mary was born in Geneva, NY, on August 9, 1942, to the late Leo and Madeline (Holmes) Lassor. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and continued her education at Mater Dei and SUNY Canton. On May 9, 1964, Mary married Joseph Peccolo, and together they built a loving family and a remarkable life.
Throughout her career, Mary worked for several businesses, including Acco Brands, June Taylor Corus Line, Gary Chevrolet and World Book, before becoming a substitute teacher from 1990 to 2003. In 2001, she was ordained as a Pentecostal Minister, sharing her faith and compassion with others. Alongside her husband, Mary and Joe proudly owned Alta Court from 1971 to 1990, and Edge of Town Restaurant from 1979 to 1983. Together, they also opened their hearts to dozens of foster children, creating a loving home for those in need.
Mary's legacy is carried on by her husband, Joseph Peccolo, of Ogdensburg; her children, Joey (Kathy) Peccolo of Glendale, AZ, Curtis Peccolo of Ogdensburg, Jayden Peccolo of Ogdensburg, Gloria (Derrick) Canning of Prescott, Ontario, and Sarah Peccolo of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren, Marc (Christina) Peccolo II, Patrick Peccolo, Joseph Peccolo III, Lauren Peccolo, Emily Belile, Gabrielle Belile, and Samantha Canning; and several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons, Anthony Peccolo (1971) and Marc Peccolo (2015).
Mary was a woman of deep faith, warmth, and resilience, who touched the lives of many through her work, family, and acts of kindness. Her dedication to her family, community, and the children she nurtured will forever be remembered.
