Maybell A. Miller

Funeral Services for Maybell A. Miller age 77 of Ogdensburg will be held on Friday (Oct 3, 2014) at 5:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Calling hours will be held also on Friday from 2:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Miller passed away Sunday (Sept 28, 2014) at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility with her daughter by her side.

Surviving are her children Scott Miller of Livermore CA, Jennifer (Miller) Robinson and companion John Mullaly of Ogdensburg, Jason Miller of Ogdensburg; she also leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her grandchildren Kylie & Spencer Walrath, Kaitlyn Robinson, Emily Pike, Travis Miller and Rachel Miller; great-grandchildren Gavin and Gianna Tyo; a niece Cindy Sherman; nephews Patrick, Dennis and Aaron Regan and a special grandniece Marissa Fontaine. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister and brother-in-law Sally & Roger Regan.

Maybell was born in North Lawrence NY on May 28, 1937. Along with her sister, she grew up in the St. Joseph’s Orphanage and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1956. She worked at the Strand Theater after graduation until she married John E. Miller which later ended in divorce. She was a homemaker for several years while raising her family, and later became employed at the United Helpers Nursing Home for 25 years as a Nursing Attendant where she found much joy and happiness.

She was a longtime communicant of Notre Dame Church and loved crafts, ceramics and having her annual garage sale.
