Michael S. Duprey Sr.

Funeral services for Michael will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Fox & Murray Funeral Home, with Deacon Mark LaLonde officiating. Burial will follow at Ogdensburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Michael was born in Ogdensburg, the son of the late Stillman “Stutz” and Jean (Davison) Duprey. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. A first marriage to Sharon Sheldon in 1965 later ended, and he married the love of his life, Sandra Crawford, on June 24, 1983.

Michael was a hardworking, dedicated man who took great pride in providing for his family. Throughout his career, he worked as a truck driver for Armour, Seaway Cement, and the United States Postal Service. In 1967, he took over his father’s business, Duprey’s Trucking, which he operated until 2000. His son Michael has continued the trucking business to this day. He also worked full-time as a custodian at Corning Glass until his retirement from there in 1998.

Michael will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his determination, and his unwavering devotion to his family. He found joy in the simple things in life, especially spending time with those he loved. He enjoyed attending antique car shows, watching classic movies, reading, and following politics. He also had a special place in his heart for the many pets he loved throughout the years.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra; his children, Becky Duprey (Barb Burwell) of Ogdensburg, Michael (Judy) Duprey of Ogdensburg, and Michele (Donald) Zulauf of Ogdensburg; his stepson, John (Amy) Cardello of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister in law Kim Duprey of Lisbon; 2 nieces, 2 nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his son, Stephen, and his brother, Danny Duprey.

Michael leaves behind a lifetime of hard work, countless memories, and a family who will forever cherish the love, strength, and dedication he gave them. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
