I met Mike with the Fort Association. Competent, cantankerous and motivated, he brought a downstate drive into the upstate enterprise that has been a part of their success ever since. I was lucky enough to get to know Mike and Abby better over the years and enjoyed Mike’s dry wit, generosity and friendship. He was exceedingly supportive of me and even warm hearted - for a former fighter pilot. Born in Ogdensburg, he came back and shared what he’d learned with us and we are all better for it. My thoughts and condolences are with Abby and the rest of the Forrest family.

May your wings be level and true, Mike - Into the wild sky yonder...

Oh my goodness. Mike was such a wonderful, honorable man. He gave the absolute best hugs and always made me feel loved. I'm so glad he had such a loving family. Abby is a wonderful wife. Together, they always let the world know their love for one another. Mike will be greatly missed. I'm so sad that he's gone but so glad he was here for so long.
