

A Memorial Mass for Michael D. Morley, age 59 of Matthews, NC and Ogdensburg, NY will be held at 10:00am on Saturday (Dec 30, 2023) at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Jay Seymour & Rev. Joseph Morgan concelebrating.
Calling hours will be held on Friday (Dec 29, 2023) from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mr. Morley passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2023 as a result of an ATV accident.
Surviving is his wife Dolly Burns Morley, also of Ogdensburg and Matthews, NC; a son Jebadiah Brenno of Ogdensburg; grandson Kohen Brenno and his mother, Kara Wright both of Ogdensburg; his mother Marie (Seymour) Morley of Ogdensburg; two brothers Timothy (Pam) Morley of Vero Beach, FL, William Morley of Ogdensburg; sisters Nancy (Kirk) Hollis of Stroudsburg, PA, Kathleen (Dale) Donaldson of Ogdensburg, Peggy (Spencer) Garrison of Ogdensburg, Susan Morley of Liverpool, NY and Amy (Gregg) Sommer of Skaneateles, NY; his mother-in-law Barbara (Paro) Burns of Ogdensburg; sisters & brothers-in-law; Darlene (Roger) Liscum of Heuvelton, NY, Ceri (Robert) Dean of Fort Collins, CO, Vernon “Sam” (Celina) Burns of Ogdensburg, Cynthia Burns-McDonald of Ogdensburg, Collene (Donald) Alexander of New Bern, NC, Donald (Janice) Burns II of Ogdensburg, Melody Burns of Glenmont, NY, Stephanie Burns (Harold Teal) of Rensselaer, NY, Augustus (Joy) Burns of Lisbon, NY, Andromeda (Adam) Anstett of Williamsville, NY and Sebastian (Jenny) Burns of Fort Ann, NY; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. As well as many dear and cherished friends.
He was predeceased by his father William F. Morley Jr., his father-in-law Donald F. Burns, and brothers-in-law R.P. McDonald and Vic Olivett.
Michael was born on June 8, 1964 in Ogdensburg, a son of William & Marie (Seymour) Morley Jr., He graduated in 1982 from Ogdensburg Free Academy and continued his education at SUNY Brockport where he received a Bachelor’s Degree. Mike & Dolly Burns were united in marriage after several years of being together in 2007.
Following college, Mike began his career in transportation and logistics at Yellow Freight working as a transportation manager. He went on to work in the same capacity at Preston Freight and New Penn Freight before becoming a Sears Garage Door Franchise Owner. He continued his entrepreneurship as the proud owner of Queen City Soft Wash and retired in June 2023.
Mike was a member of the Wagon Wheel Hill and One Shot Hunting Clubs, College Hill and a former member of the Ogdensburg Moose Lodge. He especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends, talking on the phone, hunting, boating on the St. Lawrence River and Lake Norman, golfing, mowing the lawn, following sports (namely Syracuse, Nascar and the Dallas Cowboys), agitating his many nieces and nephews and caring for the animals on his gentleman’s farm. Mike’s true loves were his son, grandson and wife.
