Mildred B. Martin

Funeral services for Mildred “Millie” B. Martin, age 77 of Ogdensburg will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday (July 27, 2016) at Notre Dame Church with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pine Hill Cemetery, Eel Weir.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 – 7:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Millie passed away on Friday (July 22, 2016) at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse surrounded by her family.

Surviving is her son Vincent Martin of Ogdensburg; a sister Patricia “Pat” Burwell of Ogdensburg; A brother Gerald (Linda) Martin of Fulton NY; grandson AllanMichael Martin of Morristown; a sister-in-law Mary Martin of Clifton Fine and several nieces & nephews.

Two brothers Nelson & Donald Martin predeceased her.

Millie was born on June 7, 1939 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late Vincent & Cecelia (Gladle) Martin. She attended Ogdensburg schools for her education, and in 1965 began working for Dr. Hugh Frame as a diener/lab assistant until her retirement in 2001. She enjoyed being a child care provider for many years, “muggings” the cat, going to the casino, shopping, crafts, traveling, cooking and listening to Elvis.
