

Funeral services for Neil E. Brothers, Sr., age 68 of the Baker Road in Lisbon will be held on Friday (September 16, 2011) at 2:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Burial will be at the White Church Cemetery in Lisbon.
Calling hours will also be held on Friday from 12:00noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Brothers died Monday (Sept 12, 2011) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Surviving is his wife Lodine; seven children Sally J. Brothers and her companion Clyde Martin of Ogdensburg, Neil E. Brothers Jr. of Ogdensburg, Milton E. Brothers & his wife Tammy of Ogdensburg, Marie A. Miller & her husband Daniel of Heuvelton, Kimberly L. Gutterson & her husband Randy of Farmington, NY, Roger W. Brothers & his wife April of Rensselaer Falls and Ethel Payne & her husband Paul of Lisbon; three brothers Roy Brothers & his wife Colleen of Hermon, Rudolph Brothers of Colton, James Brothers & his wife Mary of Madrid; a sister Diane LeMay and her husband John of Ogdensburg; 19-grandchildren, 11-great-grandchildren; 3-step-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Two brothers William and Ernest Brothers predeceased him.
Neil was born on December 1, 1942 in Massena, NY a son of the late Ernest & Ethel (Brown) Brothers. He attended Massena and Lisbon High Schools and married Lodine E. Parmeter on April 28, 1962. He was employed as a milk hauler, worked for McCadam Cheese, The Lisbon Feed Store and Standard Shade Roller during his career.
He was a member of the Lisbon Fire Department and the NYS Trappers Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, buying fur, playing cards and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
