Norma J. Lovely

Funeral services for Norma J. Lovely, age 78 of Ogdensburg, will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday (October 30, 2025) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Deacon Mark LaLonde officiating. Calling hours will be held prior from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ogdensburg. Mrs. Lovely passed away peacefully on Wednesday (October 22, 2025) at the Albany Medical Center with her family by her side.

Surviving are children Timothy Lovely of Ogdensburg and Angela (Steve) Ritchie of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Daniel Lovely, Andrew (Brooke) Ritchie, Courtney Miller, Christopher Ritchie, and Kelsey Lovely; great-grandchildren Maria, Ella, Wyatt and Scarlett Ritchie, and Theo Lucas; brothers Danny (Connie) Williams of Florida, Michael (Mitzy) Williams of Ogdensburg, Edward (Debbie) Williams of Ogdensburg, and Steven (Rhonda) Williams of Star Lake; a sister Rita (Thomas) Clarke of Russell; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Herbert and two brothers, Eugene McEathron and Theodore Williams.

Norma was born on January 11, 1947, in Ogdensburg, a daughter of the late Morris & Ella (Hazelton) Williams. She attended Ogdensburg Free Academy and was later married to Herbert J. Lovely Jr., on January 16, 1965, at St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Norma worked for the Ogdensburg City School District as a food service employee for 35 years. She retired in 2011. She enjoyed baking, knitting, making jewelry, gardening, and spending time with her family. Memorial contributions can be made to the Jerry's Run for Cancer or Gracious Friends Animal Shelter.
