Calling hours will also be held on Saturday from 12:00-2:00pm at the Mausoleum. Mr. Gagnon passed away Wednesday morning at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility.
Surviving are his two sons Norman “Joe” Gagnon and Michael Anthony Gagnon both of Ogdensburg; a brother Gary Gagnon & his companion Sheila Shaver of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Tony & Mattia Gagnon; four great-grandchildren Nevaeh & Onri Gagnon, Serenity Whiteford & Asilynn Kinch along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Norman was born on May 28, 1943 in Ogdensburg, NY a son of the late Norman H. & Theresa (Lesperance) Gagnon. He obtained his education from the Holy Cross Elementary School and Ogdensburg Free Academy where he graduated from in 1963.
He married Patricia Montana on January 11, 1964 at Notre Dame Church with Msgr. Charbonneau officiating. The couple’s marriage ended in divorce. Early in his career he was employed at Hepburn Hospital and Ashley’s Home Center until 1964 when he became employed with #278 Carpenters Union out of Watertown and worked various construction projects around St. Lawrence County until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, mechanic work and socializing with friends in his spare time.
