Funeral services for Paul B. Saunders, age 95 of County Rd 2 Ogdensburg will be held on Tuesday (Nov 17, 2015) at 6:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Sheppard officiating. Calling hours will be held also on Tuesday from 4:00pm until the time of the service.

Paul passed away on Saturday, Nov 14, 2015 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center with his family by his side.

Surviving is his wife Rosa; three sons Paul Saunders Jr. of Mount Vernon, Aaron Saunders of New Rochelle, Eric Saunders of Ogdensburg; four daughters Ramona Saunders of Yonkers, Linda Saunders of Mount Vernon, Juanita Rivera-Ortiz (Gregory Sanville) of Syracuse and JoAnna Saunders (Josh Nugent) of Ogdensburg; a brother Henry Saunders of Lumberton NJ; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews & cousins. Two children Olivia Saunders & Noel Saunders; his brothers Alex, Marion & Harry Saunders and sisters Pearl Foster (twin), Martha Henderson & Edna Fucals predeceased him.

Paul was born on August 21, 1920 in Spartanburg SC, a son of the late Alex & Mildred (Clemons) Saunders. He attended Spartanburg schools and entered the US Army Airforce in 1942 until 1945 when he received his honorable discharge. He later married Rosa Rivera-Ortiz on April 16, 1980 in Christmas, FL. During his career he worked as a real estate broker, building contractor, property manager, tax preparer and dry cleaner operator prior to retiring to Morristown NY in 1985.

He enjoyed dancing, lawn work, talking with folks and spending time with his family.
