Private funeral services for Richard J. “Rick” St. Germain, age 56 of Ogdensburg, will be held at Foxwood Memorial Park. Rick passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday (April 25th) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center after being stricken at home.

Surviving is his wife Lisa; a daughter Elissa St. Germain & her Fiancée Shane Moyer of Evans Mills; brothers Jack (Pat) St. Germain of Knoxville IA, Dennis St. Germain of Ogdensburg and Dale (Sharon) St. Germain of Gaston, SC.

His two brothers Kevin & Robert St. Germain predeceased him.

Rick was born on March 3, 1962 in Ogdensburg NY, a son of the late Arnold C. & Elizabeth (Foxx) St. Germain. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and continued his education at SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Canton. On June 10, 1989 he married Lisa Johnson.

Rick was employed at Riverview Correctional Facility in Ogdensburg as a corrections officer and weapons training officer until his retirement in 2015. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching SU Basketball and the NY Yankees, finding treasures at yard sales and collecting antiques.

Hi Lisa, I heard this terrible news and all the memory's have been running through my head. I think back to our college years and what great times I had with this great guy and great friend. I know what a great loss it is. I really wish we had kept in better contact. My prayers go out to you and Elissa.

Lisa and Elissa, We are so sorry to hear of Rick's sudden passing. We have many fond memories of our times together in basketball and always enjoyed running in to Rick and catching up. I worked many overtimes with Rick before I made Sgt, and he always loved to talk about his wife and his daughter, you both meant the world to him. Lisa and family...I want to extend my condolences on Rick's passing. Rick was a great co-worker, always willing to lend a hand. I remember our lobby visits in the mornings when he would talk about Elissa's basketball...or any sports. I hope the family will find strength in your good memories.
