

Dick is survived by his two sons, Richard (Kelly) Ward of Ohio and Thomas (Lisa) Ward of Lisbon; his three sisters, Gail (Jim) Holtslag of Tennessee, Vivianne (John) Wurz of Coldbrook, New York, and Patricia Ward of Utica; and his six grandchildren, Alexis, Shelby, Caitie, Wyatt, Landon, and Dylan Ward.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Frances “Fran” Ward; his son, Michael Ward; his sister, Robin Ward; and by his parents, Richard and Dorothy (Seeley) Ward.
Born in Amsterdam, New York, Dick was the son of the late Richard and Dorothy (Seeley) Ward. He graduated from Utica High School and later married the love of his life, Frances “Fran” Martin.
Throughout his working career, Dick was employed by Chicago Markets in Ogdensburg and Massena, as well as Super Duper and Jubilee. He later relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where he worked as a delivery driver for Schwebel's Baking Company until his retirement in 2016.
Dick enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a passion for hunting, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, boating, and camping. He treasured the time he spent with his family and friends and will be remembered for his hardworking nature and his love of the outdoors.
