Was saddened to hear of Bob's passing last year.  I only knew Bob for a season but he made me feel special and I was so crazy about him but distance was an issue.  I'll never forget that he would always buy me donuts, he was proud of his donuts. I wish I had stayed in contact with him but we were young and life just kept revolving.  So sad that people drift apart only to remenber them thru an obituary.  R.I.P. my friend.

One of the most difficult things for us to do in life is to say goodbye to our loved ones.  His battle is over. May  he live on in your memories. We are very sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of growing up in the neighborhood with Bob, Randy, and Mick.  The time we spent together as kids was priceless.  Later, I followed Bob through Minor Hockey because he was a teammate of my brother-in-law, Mike Hynes.  Recently, the student athletes at OFA knew and loved Bob as the BLUE MAN.  He was a great guy who will be missed.  We offer our sincere condolences to the family.

My sister Kathy and I worked with Bobby at Dairy Queen.  He was definitely a perfectionist, very protective and respectful to the crew. 
  One evening he came in and asked me “if I found  a husband yet, What about that guy?”  I looked and said, “Bob, that man is about 90 and I am sure the wet front of him is from either shaking so much or having a urinary problem!  Bob laughed and  walked away.  
  The next time he came to DQ he pointed out another guy~ I said  “No way,  I couldn’t date any guy who’s hair is better than mine!”  Bob laughed and ran his fingers through his perfectly feathered hair and left.  
   As the years went by whenever we saw each other we would tease each other and then our conversation would go straight to the kids.  (He Loved his children, and was Very Proud of them!). I said  “I heard you were a Picasso,  a Great painter!”  Bobby looked at me with a smirk and said   “Bigger scale, houses, etc.”.   “ Good for you~ 
 You perfected your craft!”
 It was was a little while after that I had seen Bobby walking down the street shirtless.  I couldn’t let him go by without teasing him.   “Bob,  did somebody steal your shirt?”  His reply was… “No, he was trying to make Ogdensburg a topless community!” 🤣.   I said, “ Yeah that would probably work if we had a beach but we only have a city pool- but keep working on it!”  Then we talked like adults.

Bob and I had an Amazing Friendship ~ we were eternally 16 and 17 years old although we grew to be much older.  He compared himself to no one  and was admired by many.  Condolences to his Family,  you were Lucky to have him ~ He was a Wonderful person!  Until we meet again Picasso ~ Bigger Scale!

I am sending my condolences to you and your family.  I did not realize the connection between you and Bobby until I read the obituary and looked at all of these wonderful pictures.  Bobby and I were in the same grade and I remember what an athlete he was.   I'm sad for what he had to go through.

Al and I were deeply saddened to learn of Bob’s passing. We hired Bob to paint our house in August 2020. He explained that he was not fast but that he would do a good job. I told him that “there was no time limit on perfection”…and we laughed! It didn’t take long for us to realize that when it came to painting skills, work ethic, and perfection.. Bob was the best! During those months.... Al and Bob talked sports !!!..football, hockey, weightlifting. His weightlifting routine was over the top…especially after he spent a day scraping or painting in the heat and then home to work out! Bob spoke often about his children and was so very proud of them.  Bob “ Blue Man”became a special friend ….we will miss him. thoughts and prayers with his family. Al & Judy Premo

I always liked Bob, through high school and beyond. Anytime we met He always had that Great Smile, time to chat and laugh, Great Guy! I'm so sorry.

We are so sorry for your loss.  We have known Bobby through the years, from minor hockey years right up and including the " Blue. Man".  He was a great guy!

I am so sorry for your family’s loss. I shared an apartment with Bob for a time and we turned out what must have been thousands of doughnuts in the late 80’s.  I sold Christmas trees in Canton with him one year as well. He had a friendly way about him that made the sales pretty easy. To all of Bob's family and friends - 

I was so terribly saddened to hear of his passing.  I have incredible memories of coaching Pee Wee Football with Bob and having the opportunity to coach Jordan - all of the players LOVED Coach Fennessy because they knew, even at a young age, how absolutely loyal he was to them.  

I am not sure he ever realized just how many people he impacted with his spirit, but I am certain that he will know now.  May God relieve him of his pain and comfort all those that loved him.

Marianne and I are very sorry for your family's loss.  We have many good memories of Bobby. He was full of energy and never failed to make us laugh. Our deepest condolences to Roni & your entire family.

My favorite memory of Bobby, was at an OFA hockey game. The Blue Devils were making a nice run late into the season, and Bobby's son was on the team. My brother Dan and I went to the game together. As usual, the stands were pretty full, but we noticed a couple empty spots at the very top of the bleachers. We snaked our way up there, to find we would be right beside Bobby. I can honestly say, I more fun listening to,  and watching Bobby, than I did watching the game. The highlight of that day for me, was when a penalty was called on OFA, and Bobby yelled, "THAT'S FAKE NEWS"! He sure was one-of-a-kind.
