A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date at the Oswegatchie Mausoleum, with Deacon Dave Demers officiating.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his children: Roberta (Hank) Polniak of Ogdensburg, Jamie (Dean) Phillips of Big Rock, TN, Chip (Rachelle) Morrow of Blue Point, NY, and Jacquelyn Morrow of Heuvelton. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Matthew (Kelsie) Polniak, Justin (Noelle) Polniak, Ryan (Sara) Polniak, Dylan (Amanda) Polniak, Joshua “Wolf” (Emily) Phillips, Lydia Vaughan, Leighton Vaughan, and Nicholas Morrow. His legacy continues through his cherished great-grandchildren: Claire, Jude, Aubrey, Charlotte, Lylah, Emmett, Madelyn, and Jovie Polniak, and Delilah Phillips.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Virginia, and his brother, James Morrow.
Born on January 19, 1943, in Potsdam, Bob was the son of the late Robert and Mary (Bronson) Morrow Sr. He graduated from Potsdam High School and furthered his education at North Country Community College. On March 3, 1962, he married the love of his life, Virginia L. Austin, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with devotion and family.
Bob’s strong work ethic began early, delivering newspapers as a boy. Over the years, he worked for Milbrook Bread, Alcoa, and ultimately Niagara Mohawk, where he served as district manager for 26 dedicated years. In addition to his professional life, Bob served his community as the Town of Oswegatchie Court Judge for many years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Kiwanis and Lions Clubs. He was known for treating others with fairness, compassion, and a genuine sense of understanding.
Bob found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved the outdoors—hunting, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling—and could often be found browsing thrift stores or enjoying a good book. He also had a fond appreciation for movies, especially his favorite TCM, Grit and Hallmark Channel features.
Bob was a self taught musician, singing and playing guitar from a young age. He was never shy about taking the stage at a party, wedding or jamboree when asked to sing. Over the years he played with several local bands including Rockin Horse, Country Image, Pure Country and entertaining at the Ogdensburg Boys’ and Girls’ Club Expo.
Above all, Bob treasured time spent with his family, who were the center of his life.
His kindness, quiet strength, and steady presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heuvelton Fire Department. Condolences and fond memories may be shared online at www.foxandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
