

Graveside services for Roger M. Charlton, age 66 of Utica and formerly of Ogdensburg will be held in the spring at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. John Bender officiating. Mr. Charlton passed away on Monday (Mar 31, 2014) at the St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica.
Surviving are four brothers Jeffrey & Constance Charlton of Ogdensburg, Warren Charlton of Canton, Paul Charlton of Liverpool, Grant Charlton of NJ; two sisters Carol & Richard Mooney of Liverpool & Rosalie & George Salazar of Ogdensburg along with several nieces, nephews & cousins. Four brothers David, Nelson, Dean & Danny Charlton predeceased him.
Roger was born on January 29, 1948 in Rensselaer Falls, NY a son of the late Eugene & Ruth (Petrie) Charlton. He attended Heuvelton & Morristown Central Schools for his education. During his career he was employed at United Helpers, Hoosier Magnetics, Michael Walsh Apartments, New Hartford Shopping Center and worked on the St. Lawrence Seaway.
He was an active volunteer for the Salvation Army, a member of the Four Square Gospel Choir and a member of the TBN in Utica. He was also a devout Born Again Christian and enjoyed bowling, watching old movies, listening to music and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
