He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Ruth (LaRock) Rogers, and by his nephew, Cory Simpson.
Born in Ogdensburg on August 18, 1959, Ronnie was the son of Stanley and Ruth (LaRock) Rogers. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and began his career as a machinist apprentice at Baildon’s. For a time, he worked in Danbury Connecticut as a tool and die maker. Through hard work, dedication, and exceptional skill, he became a highly respected tool and die maker whose reputation extended throughout the North Country and beyond.
Ronnie worked for O'Grady's Home Remodeling and many years at Standard Shade Roller until the company's closure in 1996. He then continued his trade at several manufacturing facilities, including Fisher Gauge in Watertown, where he helped develop the die used in the production of the Gillette Mach3 razor. Known as a master craftsman and problem solver, Ronnie was frequently called upon to tackle complex projects and traveled to numerous states where his expertise was needed. His precision, ingenuity, and commitment to excellence earned him the respect of colleagues and industry professionals alike.
Outside of work, Ronnie found joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and golfing. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his son, Dustin, his sisters, and his close friends, Sandy Sanders and Lance White. Though known for his strength, work ethic, and mechanical talents, Ronnie also possessed a gentle and caring nature, especially when it came to his beloved cat, “Trouble.”
Ronnie will be remembered as a devoted father, loving brother and uncle, loyal friend, and gifted tradesman whose talents, kindness, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His memory will be treasured by his family and friends for years to come.
