Ruth Ann Lowery

Ruth Ann Lowery age 66 of Bunnlevel, NC and formerly of Ogdensburg passed away on Tuesday (February 11, 2025) at the Cape Fear Valley Hospital surrounded by her family. There will be a Funeral Mass held at 12:00pm on Saturday (May 3, 2025) at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Ogdensburg. Visitation will be held at the church prior from 11:00am until the time of the mass. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.

Surviving is her husband Daniel Lowery of Bunnlevel, NC; a son Chris Lowery & his companion Spencer Hockey of Cameron NC; a daughter Jaime Alsup & her husband Daniel of Spotsylvania, VA; grandson Austin Alsup; three brothers James Rapin & his wife Brenda of Williamston, NC, Charles Rapin & his wife Julie of Ocala, FL and Michael Rapin & his wife Karen of Williamston, NC; a sister Kathleen Cameron & her husband Steve of Ogdensburg; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Ruth was born on May 15, 1958 in Ogdensburg, a daughter of the late Alfred & Mary Kay (LaVenture) Rapin. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and was later married to Daniel Lowery on April 3, 1981.

Ruth worked for General Motors accounts receivable department, shipping & receiving for Direct Press and most recently as a CAC Operator at Fort Bragg military base during her career. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
