Ruth L. Hazelton

Funeral services for Ruth L. Hazelton, age 94 of Morrisville and formerly of Ogdensburg will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday (Feb 20, 2016) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton, NY.

Calling hours will be held also on Saturday from 12:00pm until the time of the funeral service. Mrs. Hazelton passed away on Tuesday (Feb 16, 2016) at the St. Luke’s Hospital in New Hartford NY.

Surviving is her sister Laura Chambers of Morrisville NY; a sister-in-law Bethany Hazelton of Heuvelton along with several nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews.

Five brothers Leo, Gene, Carl, Bernard and Clifford Hazelton; a sister Mae Witherell, along with a brother-in-law Clifford Chambers predeceased her.

Ruth was born on January 25, 1922 in Potsdam NY, a daughter of the late Bert & Amy (Austin) Hazelton. She attended Heuvelton Central School and later became employed at Standard Shade Roller in Ogdensburg for 45 years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, traveling and spending time with her family.
