Sandra P. McLean

A memorial service for Sandra P. McLean, age 55 of Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday (Dec 19, 2015) at 1:00 pm at the Dobisky Visitor Center, 100 Riverside Ave, Ogdensburg, NY. A celebration of her life will follow the service until 4:00pm. Sandy passed away on Monday evening (Dec 14th) at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving is her husband Robert McLean Jr., four sons Justin Overton of Ogdensburg, James (Nichole) McLean of Rensselaer Falls, Matthew (Barbie Jo) McLean, Julian McLean and Patrick McLean all of Ogdensburg; two brothers Bernie Compo of Canton, Michael Compo of Ogdensburg; sisters Ellen Compo, Rhonda Pierce and Tina Compo all of Ogdensburg, Margaret Compo of Schenectady NY; nine grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Sandy was born on January 29, 1960 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late James & Joan (Gemmill) Compo. She attended Lisbon Central School for her education, and later married Robert McLean Jr., on August 2, 1985 in Ogdensburg.

During her career, she worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for United Helpers Nursing Home, St. Joseph’s Nursing Home and later private homecare. She enjoyed her grandchildren, fishing, gardening, cooking and traveling. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother that will be missed by her family.
