Sharon M. Mills

Graveside services for Sharon M. Mills age 74 of Ogdensburg, will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at Notre Dame Cemetery with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. There will be no calling hours. Sharon passed away Thursday morning at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility.

Surviving is her daughter Laurie Cummings of Ogdensburg; a granddaughter Madison Stratton of Ogdensburg; sister-in-laws Christine Mills of Lisbon and Diane (Bill) Fraser of Ogdensburg; nieces Ellen Mills, Cindy (Gerry) Lipinsky, Joanne Douglas, Kelly Kinch, Kayleen Edwards and Mia (Joseph) Benjamin; and two nephews Peter Mills, Daryl Perrine.

She was predeceased by an infant son Scott A. Cummings; an infant sister Michelle Mills; five brothers Guy Mills, Darrell Mills, Terry Mills, Robert Mills & Ghola Mills and a nephew Jeffery Mills.

Sharon was born on Feb 1, 1942 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late Clarence “Cy” & Marguerite (Lesperance) Mills. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and married Robert Cummings. The couple’s marriage later ended. She worked as a teacher’s aid for the Ogdensburg City School District for many years and enjoyed the St. Lawrence River, going to garage sales, sewing and spending time with her daughter and granddaughter.
