

Funeral services for Suzanne M. “Sue” Gray, age 75, of Lisbon, will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Lisbon Wesleyan Church with Rev. Doug Ingersoll officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Flackville Cemetery in Lisbon.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
Sue passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse with her loving family by her side.
She is survived by her children, Scott (Jennifer) Gray, Brandi (Rick) Engle, and Patrick (Ashley) Gray all of Lisbon; her cherished grandchildren, Hunter, McKenna, Latener, Jack (Shaina) Gray, Camille and Chloe Gray, Laci (Tyler) Kahler and Kailyn (Grant) LeBeau; great grandchildren Pyper Kahler, Evelynn LeBeau and Cooper Gray; two brothers, Chuck Haney of Pennellville, NY, and Rick Haney of Northampton, PA; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack W. Gray, who passed away on August 26, 2012.
Sue was born on September 22, 1950, in Potsdam, the daughter of the late Gerald and Mary (Bushaw) Haney. She graduated from Madrid-Waddington High School and continued her education at Roethel Business School.
On June 19, 1971, she married Jack W. Gray at the Lisbon Wesleyan Church parsonage, beginning a loving marriage that would span more than four decades.
Sue began her working career at Diamond National before choosing to stay home to raise her family. In September 1980, she began what would become a long and meaningful career in the Lisbon Central School cafeteria, where she worked as head cook for 32 years. She retired in September 2012, leaving behind many friendships and fond memories with students and staff alike.
She was an active member of the Lisbon American Legion Auxiliary and the Lisbon Wesleyan Women. Sue enjoyed reading, watching sports on TV especially Atlanta Braves and Syracuse Orange. Above all else, she treasured the time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren who brought her immense pride and joy.
