A Celebration of Life will be held May 23rd, 1pm to 4pm at the First Congregational Church of Morristown, with a formal Memorial Service beginning at 2pm.
Tammy was born on May 29, 1971 in Canton, daughter of the late Arley and Alice (Goolden) Smith. She graduated from Morristown Central School in 1989 earning a culinary arts certification from BOCES—a passion that became one of the defining joys of her life. Tammy expressed her love through cooking, always finding happiness in preparing meals and sharing them with family, friends, and anyone in need of comfort. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness.
She attended the First Congregational Church of Morristown, where she shared her generous spirit through the “Women with a Mission” group. Tammy was known for her kindness, her willingness to help others, and her quiet determination to make a difference in the lives around her.
Tammy found joy in the simple pleasures—playing board and card games, gathering with loved ones, and creating lasting memories with those she cared about most. She will be remembered as a kind soul, a wonderful friend, and someone whose warmth touched everyone she met.
She is survived by her fiancé, Ricky Clark; her siblings, Cynthia Harris of Hammond, Rik (Tracy) Woodward of Ogdensburg, Tim (Jane) Woodward of Morley, Allen (Robyn) Smith of Oregon, Connie (Tim) Neuroth of Pennsylvania, Jackie Smith of Watertown, Michael (Crystal) Smith of Potsdam, Cheryl Smith of Winthrop and her “adopted” sister, Becky Davis of Waddington; her stepmother, Karen Stark of Potsdam. Tammy “Aunt Ty” was fiercely loved by her many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is predeceased by her stepfather, E. Lewis Smith and two brothers, Lawrence A. Woodward and F. Greg Woodward.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, US Hwy 11, Potsdam, NY 13676.
