

A private Celebration of Life Service for Thomas H. McCormick age 62 of Franklin Street in Ogdensburg, will be held at the convenience of the family. Mr. McCormick died Monday (October 17, 2011) after being stricken in his car. Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. There will be no public calling hours.
Surviving is his wife Sharon; two daughters Erin McCormick & her companion Michael Crosson of Ogdensburg and Sarah McCormick of Ogdensburg; step-sons Stephen Duprey, and Michael Duprey & his wife Judy of Ogdensburg; step daughters Becky Duprey & her companion Barb Burwell and Michele Zulauf & her husband Donald of Ogdensburg; two sisters Mary Walker and Alma Murray of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Quinn & Brody Crosson, Brook Duprey & her companion William Gagnon, Matthew, Nicole & Danielle Duprey, Crystal & Diane LaRue, Deven, Callee, Garrett, & Kiana Zulauf, Leon & Brooke Montroy, Kara Montroy & her companion Frank Cushing, Jeremy Barkley & Brandon Duprey; great-grandchildren Braeden & Brynn Montroy & Trenton Gagnon; a special cousin Ward Leamy & his wife Virginia of Ogdensburg; nephew Tim Walker & his wife Joy of Ogdensburg and great-nephew Joseph Walker.
Tom was born on March 7, 1949 in Ogdensburg, NY, a son of Sylvester & Elizabeth (Bradish) McCormick. He attended Ogdensburg Free Academy for his education and married Sharon J. Sheldon on June 26, 1982. During his career, he was employed at Diamond National as a laborer, drove taxi for Haskell’s Taxi Service, became a private contractor in the late 1960’s until present time, and delivered newspapers for the Ogdensburg Journal and Watertown Times which he has done since 2002.
He enjoyed construction and carpentry work and spending time with his family. His grandchildren were very important to him and brought him a lot of joy.
Memorial contribution can be made to the National Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
