Vicky L. Walrath

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Fox & Murray Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor Floyd McCallum officiating. Burial will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery immediately following the service.

Vicky is survived by her two sons, Troy and Victor Gardner of Ogdensburg; a sister, Lisa Burns and her companion Allen Lando of Gouverneur; a brother, Earl and Sara Walrath of Ogdensburg; as well as special friends Rosetta Gage, Jeff Newcomb, and Jordon Hitsman of Ogdensburg, and Grace Butterfield of Morristown. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Edward Gilbo; her son, James Gardner; and by her brother, William Merrit, and sister, Donna Niles.

Born on December 22, 1961, in Gouverneur, NY, Vicky was the daughter of the late Roy and Fern (Griffin) Walrath. She attended Gouverneur High School and began her working career at Castle Rest Nursing Home in Syracuse. She later worked at Service Master before returning to the area, where she worked as an aide at United Helpers Nursing Home until her retirement.

Vicky had a deep love for animals, especially her cat, and enjoyed spending time camping in Colton, gardening, and being with her friends. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched.
