

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the White Church Cemetery in Lisbon. Calling hours are scheduled for Monday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Kathleen; three sons, Adam Duvall and his companion Ann Smith of Lisbon, John Hyde and his wife Samantha of Ogdensburg, and Bobby Hyde and his companion Mary Jane LaRock of Lisbon; two daughters, Connie Edwards and her husband Cedric of Frederick, OK, and Kerri Jo Sharp of Englewood, OH, a step-daughter Jennifer Hyde of Utica; two step-sons, Thomas Novosel of Pittsburgh and Michael Novosel of Whitney Point; eight grandchildren, including Adrian Duvall, Makayla, Madison, and Willow Hyde, Johnny Rheome Jr. and his wife Leticia, David, Michael & Joshua Sharp and great-grandson Zane Rheome. He also leaves behind two brothers, Donald Hyde of Ogdensburg and Gerald Hyde and his wife Alberta of Lisbon; seven sisters, Carol Whitmarsh of Cortland, Beverly Parmeter of Lisbon, Susan Lawton and her companion Ben Fifield of Lisbon, Dorothy Conant and her husband Neil of Potsdam, Debbie Stone of Pierrepont, and Amy Steams and her husband Thomas of Massena; as well as his father-in-law Paul Trexler of St. Petersburg, FL, and mother-in-law Victoria Miller of Groton, VT. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his former wife and mother of three of his children, Joan Graham-White.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Marie Hyde; two brothers, Edward and John Hyde; two sisters, Nancy Morehouse and Cynthia Hyde; a step-son, Victor Novosel; and the mother of two of his children, Linda Hicks.
Born on March 25, 1954, in Ogdensburg, Wayne was the son of Edward Hyde Sr. and Olive “Marie” Flood. He attended Lisbon Central School.
Wayne had a diverse career in agriculture, working on the family farm from a young age, serving as a milk hauler for John McBath, and eventually becoming the owner/operator of Hyde’s Livestock Trucking. He was also a livestock buyer for several companies. After his marriage to Kathleen on August 11, 2012, he took great pleasure in spending time in the barn caring for their dairy goats and cattle. Farming was Wayne’s true passion, and he enjoyed watching old western movies, attending tractor pulls, making weekly trips to Martin’s Feed Store, and playing pranks on friends and family.
Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Lawrence County Power & Equipment Museum in Madrid or the St. Lawrence County SPCA. Due to severe allergies to fresh cut flowers, plants are requested.
