Yvonne R. Harper

Funeral services for Yvonne R. Harper, age 76 of Washington Street in Ogdensburg will be held on Friday (June 5, 2015) at 11:00am at Notre Dame Church with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Interment will be at Foxwood Memorial Park.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00-8:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mrs. Harper passed away on Monday (June 1, 2015) at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving are three sons Daniel Harper & his wife Christine, Dennis Harper & his wife Larie, Rick Harper & his wife Natalie all of Ogdensburg; two daughters Suzanne Bice & her husband Renny of Ogdensburg and Debrah Barnett & her husband Peter of Ontario; a brother Edward Martin of Cornwall, Ontario; a sister Annette Menard of Ingleside, Ontario; grandchildren Jasmine Harper & her fiancé Nick Martin, Zachary Harper & his wife Tessa, Michael Geraci & companion Michelle Phillips, Dustin Harper, Zachary Weston, Christy Lust and her husband Bryan, Renny Bice Jr and his wife Jen, Peter Barnett & his companion Kaitlyn McPherson, Ashley Gager & her husband Brad; great-grandchildren Bryan & Brody Lust, Alexa Bice, Sophia Harper and Talan Gager to be born on Aug 28, 2015.

Her husband Elton along with three brothers Wilford, Leo & Rheal Martin and one sister Aline Longtin predeceased her.

Yvonne was born on June 5, 1938 in Cornwall Ontario, a daughter of the late Sylvio & Denige (Glaude) Martin. She was educated in Cornwall Ontario Schools, and later married Elton Harper on June 6, 1959.

During her career she worked at Newell Manufacturing, Mitel, Ansen, Ogdensburg City School District Cafeteria and did childcare in her home for many years. She was a member of Notre Dame Church and enjoyed playing bingo, being with her family and her church.
