Adelee spent her life helping others. She worked as a registered nurse in the cardiac care unit, caring for patients at some of the hardest moments of their lives. That same care filled her home. She loved her four children dearly, and her heart always had room for more. She took in foster children and welcomed teenagers and young adults who needed a family for a while, giving them a safe place and someone to look after them.
Her hands were rarely still. Adelee loved quilting, cross-stitching, crocheting, and sewing, and over her 93 years she made thousands of projects for the people she loved and cared for. She was still working on quilts in her nineties. She volunteered at her church’s clothing room, helping families in need, and she was a lifelong reader who was still finishing up to a couple of books a week at 93.
Adelee was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Laurel Hoffert; her brother, John Hoffert; her first husband, Carmen Ray Wilkerson; her second husband, Earl Norris; and her daughter-in-law, Cindy Wilkerson.
She is survived by her children, Andrea Lee and husband Russ, Yvonne Little and husband Paul, Curtis Wilkerson and wife Sara, and David Wilkerson and wife Michelle; her grandchildren, Christina Wilkerson and husband Brandon Smith, Tiffany Smith and husband Steven, Amber Bennett and husband Jimmy, Staci Bellinger and husband Chris, John Boeck and wife Regina, Melody Boeck, Joshua Boeck, James Boeck, Rebekah Casanelli and husband Michael, Rachel Dyer and husband Marc, Raymond Lee, and Ben Velazquez; and her great-grandchildren, David, Sarah, and Gideon Lyons; Darby and Gabriel Smith; Stephani, James, Brian, and Sadie Bennett; Caelan and Chloe Magee; Miyah Wood and Brody and Maddox Boeck; Jane and Canyon Boeck: Kolby and Kaylie Boeck; Milo and Sophia Dyer; Morgan and Mari Bellinger.
Her love lives on in the quilts she stitched, the children she welcomed, and the many lives she touched.
