Aloma Elaina Anderson, (age 84), passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026. Aloma was born Aloma Elaina LaBarre on March 1st, 1942, and raised by foster parents Lee and Kay Patten in Faribault, Minnesota.
Aloma taught us how to make something out of very little, and she was the guardian of our lives and hearts. She treasured us, and she worked hard to provide us with things we needed to become good people.
Aloma loved music and singing, and passed that love along to her children. She was a proud member of the Sweet Adeline’s, the Joy Belles, and participated in various church musicals.
During her working career, Aloma always worked hard at every job she did, including her office support work and administrative jobs, and she was smart, organized and well-spoken.
Following this administrative career, Aloma found the world of photography, where she came alive and which she loved. She started her own photography company, travelled, and won awards for many of her photos. We will get to treasure these photos for a long time to come.
Aloma is survived by her three children: Daughter, Kristen Marie (Anderson) Fowler; her Son, Erik Lee Anderson; and her Son, Jared Richard Ranum. Her eight grandchildren, family members, and many friends mourn her passing, and we all know that she has gone safely into the arms of Jesus.
Aloma was a steadfast, loyal, Christian wife and mother who cherished her family and friends. Our mother will be deeply missed and her memory treasured always.
Please deliver florals directly to church.
