Alva was born in Snyder, OK on October 30, 1922. Graduated from Capitol Hill High School. He joined the Marines in 1942 and served his country during WWII and Korea. He married Betty Jo Yates "the love of his life" in June 1942; they celebrated their 69th Wedding Anniversary in 2011. "Al" retired from Hartford Insurance after 35 yrs. He loved God, his wife, his family and golfing. He is survived by his wife Betty; son Bill and his wife Diana of OKC; sister Phyllis and husband Bucky Byron of Casper, WY; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was a great man and will be dearly missed by his family.
