Andrew Newton Griffin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on July 19, 1940, in Neshoba County, Mississippi, to Eva Lee and Ira Curtis Griffin.
Andrew graduated from Clinton High School in Mississippi and earned an associate's degree in HVAC. His professional career included significant roles at GE/Trane. He was a longtime member of the freemasons and a Shriner. His dedication to his work was matched by his devotion to his faith and community, exemplified by his active membership at Henderson Hills Baptist Church.
Andrew was united in marriage to Judy Griffin, and together they shared a life rich in love and family. He had a deep passion for working, fixing and tinkering with anything mechanical and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Howard Griffin; grandchild, Kelsey Griffin; and siblings, Liz Bailey and Curtis Griffin. Andrew is survived by his wife, Judy; son Steve Griffin and wife Denise; daughter-in-law Karen Griffin; grandchildren Heather Cash (and husband Matt), Drew Griffin, Michael Griffin (and wife, Megan), and Rachel Dukes (and husband Eli); and great-grandchildren Titus Griffin and Eloise Dukes.
Andrew will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his contributions to his community, and his commitment to his work. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 30th, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 31st, at Memorial Park Funeral Home (13313 N Kelley Ave, OKC, OK 73131).
