Betty Sue Neal McNabb

Educated in Oklahoma City, she graduated from Classen High School in 1945. In 1949 she received her BFA from the University of Oklahoma; honorary memberships from that institution include Alpha Lambda Delta, Delta Phi Delta, Gamma Alpha Chi, Mortar Board and in 1969 she earned a Master of Art Education from OU. From 1965 to 1972 she taught art for Norman, OK public schools.

In 1983 she moved to Tulsa where she was active in Chapter AK, PEO; Boston Ave. United Methodist Church circles; College Club, Antique Glass Club and American Contact Bridge League, attaining the status of Silver Lifemaster. Betty Sue was an artist whose paintings had been accepted for juried exhibitions, including the first annual International Art Show, NY, NY; The Corning, NY Art and Craft Show, the Eight State Art Show in Oklahoma City, OK, several Norman Art League shows in Norman, OK and shows in Dallas, TX.

Betty is survived by her brother, Dewey W. Neal and wife Louise of Wichita, KS; Son, Dr. Scott J.N. McNabb and wife Charlene of Highlands, NC; Daughter, Susan Latimer and husband Bill of Clinton, MA; Daughter, Dana Creekmore and husband Charles of The Woodlands, TX; Son, Bruce W. McNabb of Midland, TX; Relatives also include eleven treasured grandchildren; Patrick McNabb and wife Wendy, Marion McNabb, Neal Tiemann and wife Kira, Ryan McNabb and wife Paige, Liam Latimer, Mary Katherine McNabb, Claire McNabb Reeves and husband Jared, Caroline Creekmore, Susanna Creekmore, Clarke Creekmore, Marion (Ming) Creekmore; Four great-grandchildren, Noah McNabb, Carter McNabb, John Wayne McNabb, and Leddy Jane McNabb.

A funeral service for Betty will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.

Serving as pallbearers are Dr. Scott JN McNabb, Bruce McNabb, Patrick McNabb, Ryan McNabb, Clarke Creekmore, Liam Latimer and Noah McNabb.
