Brittany Ann Drake was born on September 11, 1991, to Clay and Donna Burton in Norman, Oklahoma. She was the first grandchild for both sides of the family and abundantly loved. She was the older sister to Brandon and Breanna who idolized her. She always led the Burton pack, and her parents were often asked if they trained them to walk in birth order. She was the ringleader and mother hen. Throughout her life, Brittany lit up a room with her smile, listened like you were the only one in the room, and hugged you like it was the last hug that she was going to get. She rarely met a stranger. She was sweet, kind, and the most caring person you’d ever want to meet.

During Brittany’s childhood, she loved animals, hunting with her grandpa Bill, fishing with her grandpa Larry, spending Christmases with the Shaws, and serving others. She was a member of Honor Choir, Girl Scouts, played cello, took Irish step-dancing classes, and was always active in her church.

In 2017, she met and fell in love with Addison Drake. They were married on March 3, 2018. She not only fell in love with Addison but his family as well. She adored her in-laws Crystal and Ron, who treated her like their own. Addison shared Brittany with their dogs, Maggie, Poppy, and Shadow.

She was an active member of New Life church, Myrrh Ministries, loved country music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

Brittany died November 19, 2021, at the age of 30, in Saint Anthony Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband, Addison Drake, of the home; mother, Donna Compton of Norman; father, Clay Burton of Lexington; brother, Brandon Burton and wife, Amanda; sister, Breanna Burton; nephews, William, Gabriel, and Alistair; grandmother, Martha Ann Moore and her husband, Bob; grandmother, Paulette Lemaster; Aunts and Uncles: Jeff and Traca Wheeler, Jason Lemaster, Stan and Lynne Wheeler, Lou Shaw, Jerry Shaw, and Missy Hayes; in-laws Ron and Crystal Drake, Chris Drake and his wife Ashley, as well as her cousins and other beloved family and friends.

She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Bill Wheeler and Larry Burton; and her beloved dog, Maggie.
