

Ben was born on October 15, 1946, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Byron Bennett Sherman and Genevieve Theodora Duncan Sherman. He graduated from Classen High School before earning his Master of Business Administration from Central State University.
On December 28, 1968, Ben married the love of his life, MaryAnne Sherman. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and lasting friendships.
Ben enjoyed a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, working for Syntex and Schering-Plough throughout his professional life.
After moving to Edmond, Ben and MaryAnne raised their family there. They were longtime members of Southern Hills Christian Church, and in later years found a church home at Crossings Christian Church in Oklahoma City.
Ben was an avid University of Oklahoma football fan and found great joy in spending time fishing at Lake Murray. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards and sharing that hobby with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve Theodora Duncan Sherman and Byron Bennett Sherman.
Ben is lovingly survived by his wife, MaryAnne Sherman; his daughters, Emily Peck and husband Ian Peck, and Carrie Perkins; his grandchildren, William Peck, Steven Peck, Genevieve Shenk, and Lilliana Perkins; and his sister, Mary Allred. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
A Committal Service will be held on August 3, 2026, at 10:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery, with a Celebration of Life to follow, at 10:45 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, US.
Ben will be remembered for his steadfast faith, devotion to his family, and the kindness and friendship he shared with all who knew him.
