

Carroll Dean Logan passed away at home on June 22, 2011. He was born on April 19, 1926 in Amarillo, TX to John and Ruth Logan, the second son in a family of one girl and five boys. The family moved to a farm near Hollis, OK when Carroll was young and he graduated from Ron High School in 1944. He was immediately drafted into the Army, serving with the 25th Infantry Division in the Philippines during the war and later as part of the occupation force in Japan. He earned a degree in economics at OSU and graduated as a Distinguished Military Student. Later, he earned an LLB in law. While at OSU, he met Pat (Shaver) Logan. The two would marry and spend their next 60 years together. Twenty-two years in the Army took them to many places and Carroll served in Korea, Turkey, and Vietnam. After retirement from the Army in 1971, he moved his family to Oklahoma City.
Carroll was a very active member and Past Master of Siloam Masonic Lodge #276 in Oklahoma City. He also helped establish and grow the Windsor Hills Neighborhood Assoc. He and Pat were very active in square dance clubs for many years.
Carroll is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Pat Logan of OKC, daughter, Janet Lowrey of Edmond, son, David Logan and his wife Cathy of OKC, and three grandchildren, Nathan Logan, Elizabeth Logan, and Jason Lowrey and his wife Jessica; and one great grandson, Dylan Lowrey. He is also survived by two brothers, Royce Logan of Hillsboro, TX, Keith Logan, of Guymon, OK, and many nieces and nephews.
Services are Sat., June 25, 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel.
