Charles Royer

Charles was born in Kansas City, KS to Charles A. and Ruth Royer. He graduated from Classen HS in 1949 and just attended his 65th high school reunion. He obtained his BBA from OU and his LLB from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1955 and was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He married Shirley Boddie Royer in 1953. They were happily married for 56 years until her passing in 2009. He started practicing law with his father-in-law, Melville Boddie. He practiced law for 45 years before retiring to Sarasota, FL. He loved playing golf and watching it on TV. He is survived by his daughters, Pam Geurin (Donny) and Lisa Heinen (Ed); son, Charles B. Royer (Jennifer); sister, Carole Chandley; nephew, Mike Chandley; and his six grandchildren, Emily Geurin, Christopher Geurin, Elizabeth Heinen (fiance Martin), Jessica Heinen, Andrew Royer, and Nathan Royer. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and nephew, Kenneth Chandley. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
