Daniel Bear-Thomas Moghbelfar, was born on September 22nd, 1986 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was adopted on June 10th, 1987 by Felicia and Mostafa Moghbelfar, joining sister Marye Nicole Moghbelfar. He passed away at his home in Midwest City, OK on September 12, 2018, with his mother and father present.

Daniel was a citizen of the Seminole Nation, and was dedicated in August 1987 at Faith Tabernacle in OKC, OK. He was baptized. Daniel attended Chisholm Elementary and Cimarron Middle School in Edmond, OK and grew up in OLD FARM ESTATES. He was a very talented son, creative in writing and drawing, and wanted to become a chef.

His laughter and ability to imitate celebrities entertained many people, earning him the name: Mr. Friday Night. He enjoyed skateboarding and basketball, and was a loyal KEVIN DURANT fan, following him to the GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS. He LOVED the OKC Zoo – animals and staff, making him a favorite guest of the employees. He visited the Zoo everyday – really, EVERYDAY! The staff there were his friends… and they have corresponded with him until the present.

In 2015, he was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease, an incurable, genetic disease known as “the cruelest illness known to mankind”. His illness traveled him to many cities in Oklahoma in search of medical placement. The courageous family of the REACH COORPORATION assisted him in life skills for one and a half years, until he was placed on Humanity Hospice and returned home to be cared for by his family.

He is survived by his parents, Felicia Lucas of Midwest City; Mostafa and Zahra Moghbelfar of Piedmont, OK; sister M. Nicole Moghbelfar of OKC, OK; sister Nouhaila and brothers Mouhamad Youssoufi, and Yousef Ali Moghbelfar of Piedmont, OK. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, September 17th at 4pm with a burial at Memorial Park Cemetery to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oklahoma City Zoo as well as the Hereditary Neurological Disease Centre.

Daniel , your Journey here is complete , you're footprints are forever in our hearts. Your next Journey is of Peace , Tranquility , and Freedom of all the restraints that you had on this Earth. The Warrior , that you have become will be our strength to continue , on the path that You leave us. Daniel , it is sad that you had to go , but we rejoice that you are Free. It is said ' There is no Tomorrow because , Tomorrow never comes " . Oh , Brave One , YOUR TOMORROW HAS COME , and we all will see you when our tomorrow comes

We remember the special St. Patrick’s Day centerpiece Daniel made for us in Chicago several years ago. It was so cute we took pictures of it and placed the picture in the center of the table for several years on St Paddy’s Day. ☘️
