Darrell ran the Hwy Snackbar in the ODOT building at the State Capital complex for 35 years, retiring in 1995. He was active in Helping Hands Lions Club, Oklahoma League for the Blind, Handicapped for Christ, and the OKC Blind Beep Ball Bombers. Darrell loved music, singing for his church and the Jesus House.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Horton Burch, and his parents. Survivors include 2 sisters, Maxine Frick, Rialto, CA and Olivia Chaffin, Chickasha, special nieces, Melissa Chaffin, Taylor Meade, nephew, Mark Chaffin, and many other nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
