Doy "Gene" Hibbard

Doy Gene Hibbard, 79, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born in Lincoln, Washington County, Arkansas on May 23, 1942 to Theodore and Hanna Hibbard.

He graduated from Capitol Hill High School, Oklahoma City, on May 31, 1962 and then from Messer's School of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, also in Oklahoma City, on May 31, 1967. He later worked for General Motors, Oklahoma City, from the time of its opening until he retired when the plant closed.

He is survived by his wife of many years, Ann; his step-children Angelic and David, his brother Bill, six grandchildren -- Robert, Audrianna, Zoie, Nathaniel, Erick, and William David, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tanya Jean, who was the apple of his eye as well as his parents, two sisters, and four brothers.

A visitation for Doy will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with a graveside service to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
