Edwin Taylor Nelson Jr., 82, passed away February 26th, 2011. He was born October 15, 1928, in Talihina, OK, to Ida Jewell and Edwin Taylor. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Korea, and was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. He was known as a hard workingman of integrity, working as a painting contractor his entire life. His positive outlook on life was seen in his unselfishness, good humor, and love of fishing and gardening.
Ed is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Doris Mae Nelson; four children, Debbie Edgman, Cheryl Fern, Ed Nelson, and Kathy Brown to whom he was a loving father; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their thankfulness to BJ Dirks, Amy Fisher, and Jeremy Smith of Autumn Bridge Hospice, along with their entire staff.
Funeral services will be 2pm, Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with interment to follow.
