Gladys and Bud met when they were in elementary school at the Norman First Church of the Nazarene and the both always said it was love at first sight. She attended Norman High School until her junior year and was in Glee Club and Girls Quartet. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas. Gladys and Bud married on March 7, 1942, in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene where she sang in the choir and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Gladys taught us all that family was to be cherished and she set an amazing example of what a mother and grandmother should be. While we will miss her greatly, we are so excited with the thought that she spent her first day in Heaven on Mother’s Day with her own Mother. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Fite Stehr and husband Dan Stehr of Guthrie, and Terrie Bryner of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Steve Fite and his wife Susan of Edmond, Debbie Patry and her husband Steve of Edmond, Jeff Bryner and his wife Michelle of Yukon, and Anji Bryner of Oklahoma City; great-grandchildren Taylor Patry, Brady Patry, Brandon Fite, Kylie Bryner, and Karsen Bryner.
