Glen Edward McGee, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, just days before his 82nd birthday. Born on November 26, 1943, in Oklahoma City, Glen was the son of Grover Edward McGee and Dorothy Ellen McGee, who instilled in him the values of curiosity, integrity, and a deep appreciation for the world around him.
From a young age, Glen felt called to the skies. He spent two years with the Air Force Academy in Japan, an experience that shaped his love of aviation and service. He went on to become both a skilled pilot and a dedicated air traffic controller, ultimately retiring from the FAA after a long and distinguished career.
When he wasn’t airborne, Glen found peace in nature. He was an avid fisherman who treasured quiet mornings by the water. Later in life, he settled on the side of a mountain, a place that reflected his love for open spaces, solitude, and the beauty of the natural world. Animals brought him great joy, especially the cats who shared his home and kept him company.
Glen was preceded in death by his son, Greg McGee. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Presley, as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember him dearly.
A funeral service will be held at Memorial Park Historic Chapel, located at 13400 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, on November 26, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
