Glynis Crawford was born in El Reno, OK the daughter of James Robert Pitts JR. and Georgia Anne Golden Pitts. She moved to Dallas, Texas in 1965, and then to Farmersville, Texas in 1975 and then returned to Oklahoma in 1980 where she attended Putnam City Original High School and graduated in 1982. After high school, she pursued a Pre-Med degree at Bethany Nazarene College where she met and married James Edward Crawford of Fayetteville, Arkansas in November 1983. Together they had two daughters, Andrea Nicole Crawford born June 1984 and their second daughter Adrian Rachelle Crawford in January 1987. A homemaker and home school mom until her daughters were in late grade school, she went to work in various nonprofit organizations ranging from the arts to the mission field. Glynis never stopped pursuing her love of the arts & music, always having her hands in multiple projects and outlets from local art and photography shows, to gathering with her Ephemorites art group, and being a long-time member of Canterbury Choral Society. Glynis’ faith was an inspiration to all who came in contact with her and she knew how to love well, always greeting people with a hug, smile and encouraging word. She never met a stranger and all were welcome at the table. Preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents, her father James Robert Pitts Jr, Father in Law Kenneth Earl Crawford and Mother in Law Barbetta Jewel Moore Crawford. Survived by mother Georgia Pitts, Husband Jim Crawford, Daughter Andrea Lama & husband Bijay Lama, granddaughter Zoe Lama. Daughter Adrian Crawford, Sister Jenny Watts & Husband Michael Watts, nephew SSGT Brandon Watts, USAF and wife Lita, & niece Emily Watts, Loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of long time friends. Services will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2 PM at Bridgeway Church 228 W. Hefner Rd. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
