Gregory Alan George

Gregory Alan George, 75, was born December 9, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Ok to Joe and Jeanne (Hunter) George. He passed away June 5, 2026. Greg was a premature baby weighing only 2 pounds and 14 ounces at birth. His mother passed away the day after his birth and his principal care givers for the first 4½ years of his life were his paternal grandparents Joe George Sr. and Blanche George His hobbies revolved around his lifelong interest in genealogy and his interest in the civil war.

He is survived by his sister Sherry Knight and brother-in-law Claude Knight. He felt blessed by his many nephews and nieces: Gerry Goodall (Casey), Dee Ann Goodall, Merry Bettis (Bobby), Shannon Browning (Sergio), LaDona Knight, (Bryand), Jimmy Knight, Kim Reddoch (Joe, Claude D. Knight (Tish), and Stephanie McHolland (Jeff). He is also survived by lifelong friend of 62 years Bruce Ellis and long time friend Kathleen Mckee and many more great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by father Joe George Jr., mother Jeanne George, Stepmother Dean George, infant nephew and nephew Michael Knight, paternal grandparents Joe George Sr. and Blanche George, and maternal grandparents Lucille Brian and James Luke Hunter and friend Dale Ann Armor.

A Graveside Service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, US, on June 17, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
