

Harold graduated from John Marshall High School before answering the call to serve his country. He proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1966 to 1970. During his military career, he served with the 173rd Airborne Brigade and the 2nd Armored Division. His time in the Army was a meaningful part of his life, reflecting his strength, dedication, and commitment to serving others.
On June 30, 1971, Harold married the love of his life, Teresa Hamill. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and countless memories shared throughout their years together.
Harold dedicated part of his career to serving his community as a firefighter with the Village Fire Department. Helping others was an important part of who he was, and his service as a firefighter was a source of pride.
Harold had many passions and interests that brought him joy throughout his life. He had a deep appreciation for guns and enjoyed collecting. He also had a special love for animals and found companionship and happiness in caring for them. Those who knew Harold will remember him for his strong personality, his stories, his interests, and the unique way he made an impression on everyone around him.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Hamill II and Lorraine Hamill; and his beloved grandson, Zach Collins.
He leaves behind his loving wife of more than 55 years, Teresa Hamill; his children, Jimmy Collins, Scott Hamill, and TJ Hamill; and his grandchildren, Hunter Collins, Paige Collins, Alyssa Hamill, Tristen Hamill, Greyson Hamill, Brynn Hamill, and Brooklyn Tilley. He is also survived by his siblings, Renee Rosanelli, Melanie Reeves, and Shawn Hamill, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
A graveside service honoring Harold's life will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (13400 N Kelley Ave).
