Mr. Borghei was predeceased by his parents; brothers Hashim and Reza Borghei; sisters Batool, Ashraf, Fatima, and Zeenat Borghei; and innumerable aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Borghei was a progressive thinker who was far ahead of his time. He was a man with genuine competence who had an understanding of multiple different fields, all of which complemented one another and made him a more talented and productive person. He was an avid reader to the last days of his life and he never stopped learning.
Borghei was a family man who deeply cared for not just his nuclear family, but his extensive extended family as well. He even went to great lengths to help people he did not know. He was a quiet person with a witty sense of humor and a keen eye for detail. He loved to travel and traveled all over the world including all of western Europe, all of the Middle East, Southeast Asia, almost every state in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands. Borghei emigrated to the United States in 2009 with his wife. He became a United States citizen in 2015 which was one of his proudest moments. He greatly enjoyed the cinema and could recall the most intricate details of movies even years after he had seen them. He loved cars and tried every kind of car and drove the cars to their limits.
Borghei finished school in Tehran and served as the Iranian Ministry of Justice liaison to the government’s real estate recording office, working predominantly in Ghom and Tehran, Iran. Borghei held that position for thirty years, and because of his expertise also had his own business as a
senior title recording registrar for twenty years.
The measure of a man is the legacy he leaves behind. He encouraged and supported his wife to follow her dream of becoming an artist and a fashion designer. His love for learning and education was passed to his children. He encouraged them early on to pursue higher education. As a result, his
children are all vastly educated and competent and include two medical doctors, one of whom is also an attorney, the founder of a foreign language institute, and the owner of a very successful insurance agency.
