James Andrew Holmboe

Jim was born on October 3rd, 1940, to L.S. and Mary C. Holmboe in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Harding High school in 1958, and went on to study architecture at the University of Oklahoma.

In 1958 Jim met Judy Ellis on a ski trip to Colorado where they were introduced by Judy’s older sister, Diann. Jim and Judy went on to get married in 1961 and had five children, James Andrew Holmboe Jr., Mary Catherine ‘Camie’ Cormier, DiAnn Huddleston, Laura Holmboe, and Carlie Khodabakhsh.

Jim enjoyed spending time on the lake, taking his family out for a ride on the pontoon boat. He liked to visit his second home in Boulder, CO when the Oklahoma summers got too hot. He still enjoyed going to work, even toward the very end of his life. What he loved most was enjoying a quiet meal on the back porch with Judy, watching the sunset.

Jim was predeceased by his father, L.S. Holmboe, mother, Mary C. Holmboe, brother L.S. Holmboe Jr. and sister, Mary Thais Holmboe. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Judy, son Andy and wife Caroline, his daughter Camie and her husband Jim, daughter DiAnn and her husband Chris, daughter Laura, daughter Carlie and her husband Michael, along with his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
