Jim grew up in Oklahoma City and Dallas. His education included Jesuit school in Dallas and Bishop McGuinness in OKC, before graduating from John Marshall High School. He was a proud Marine Corps veteran.
Jim was a character to whom everyone was drawn. He was an honest, tough, God-fearing man with a gentle soul, who was devoted to the Catholic Church. He had a deep love for his family, with whom he enjoyed long phone conversations. He also loved the Dallas Cowboys, John Wayne, old-school country music, and Frank Sinatra. He did things his way, on his own terms. And that’s how he left.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by the love of his life, Lynda; children: Jim O’Neil & wife Joni, Lisa Williams & husband Matt, and Chad O’Neil & wife Allyson; grandchildren: Tristan, Christopher, and Mary O’Neil, Jackson and Everett Williams, and Haven O’Neil; sisters, Sharon Miller & husband John and Carolyn Cram & husband Stuart; brother, John Michael O’Neil; and many other family members and friends.
