He was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on May 5, 1949. James graduated from Putnam City High School and received his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University. He was married to Linda Gilpin “Taylor” on November 29, 1969.
James dedicated more than forty years to the legal services industry and was the owner of Taylor, Lucas, Locke, and Corbin. He was respected for his professionalism, work ethic, and commitment to those he served throughout his distinguished career.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Gene Taylor McFall, father, Leslie Baker Taylor, wife Linda Gilpin Taylor, and sister Connie Taylor McBride.
He is survived by his sons, Jimbo and wife Brooke Taylor, and Brice and wife Caroline Taylor along with grandchildren, Logan Taylor, Aidan Taylor, Maelee Taylor, and Huntlee Taylor.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew and loved him.
