The family later moved to St. Louis, Missouri where James spent most of his childhood years. James had a generous spirit, a bubbly personality, and was well known by many. He never met anybody that he could not talk to.
James brought tremendous joy to his family and friends when he announced before God, his family, and church that he accepted Christ as his personal savior. He was baptized before an assembly of believers on August 19, 2018. This is the joy that fills our souls during this time of bereavement, as we know that James is absent from the body, but is present with the Lord.
James was employed by Asplundh at the time of his death.
Those who will cherish his memory, are his mother, Kattie Perry; six sisters, Annie Shell, Debra Jackson, Veronica Virginia Perry, and Darlene Lyles (Mike Lyles) all of Oklahoma City. Joyce Demming, St. Louis, MO., and Mary King, Clarksdale, MS; and two brothers, Willie Logan and Vernon Perry Jr. of Oklahoma City; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, other relatives and friends.
Though James is no longer with us in the flesh, his memory will live on for generations to come.
